Seriously, let me just ask this of those of you on Facebook: how is posting the color of your bra helping breast cancer exactly? Because since anyone who didn't get the e-mail (really, I'm told there was an e-mail) has no idea what you're talking about, how exactly are they aware?
Worse it doesn't seem to inspire giving or anything close to intelligent discussion. If most of the comments I've seen about this bit of viral whatnot have been adolescent (at best), did it really help a cause?
Maybe I'm missing it.

Is THAT what that was about?!? Good grief. I must be one of the only one of my "friends" who didn't get the memo. I actually thought it was something stupid about the color of top/shirt/outfit people had on in their profile pic. hahaha... Hey, it would have been just as charitable.
January 7, 2010 at 10:15 PMI agree with you.
It's a glorified chain letter.
ps) did you try out the Twitter thing?
Totally stupid, and let's note for the record that I didn't even know what it was about until another (female) friend of mine posted a status update asking what the heck was going on, and then another woman explained it.
January 8, 2010 at 12:20 AMJust like buying yogurt with pink lids combats breast cancer. Which is to say: not at all.
January 8, 2010 at 9:11 AMStupidity all around.
Yeah, I'm a woman AND I work in a Women's Center AND I am close to breast cancer survivors and I had to resort to Googling to find out what was up with that. This kind of psedo-activism drives me nuts and accomplishes nothing. Preach on, Doc!
January 8, 2010 at 12:52 PMNOW I get it. I didn't know what was happening with all those one-word updates.
