Sated

It's days like today where I admire the commitment of vegetarians and vegans the most. I simply couldn't do it: there's willpower and then there's what I have, come summertime.

I looooooooove grilling in the summer. And I loooooooove grilling big juicy hunks of meat. Yum!

Yeah, no vegetarianism for me either.

You've inspired me to buy steaks tomorrow :)

Let me suggest grilled corn on the cob then, too. No sense in missing out on the full experience.

Enjoy!

Okay, I'll represent the veggies. I've been both a carnivore and a vegetarian and the thing is, it's just different. At first you are aware that you are eating "without meat," but over time your idea of what a meal is shifts and it's not about "doing without" or finding meat substitutes.

But your thing about grilling raises a valid point: What you can do with vegetables and a grill is less interesting for sure. Fire + meat = yum. I like grilled veggies, but it's not like grilling adds that much value.

Now veganism, on the other hand...wow. I couldn't give up eggs and dairy.

The thing is, I sort of wish I could be a vegetarian, but I don't think I've got the willpower for that. There's way too much association, I think.

That said, almost all I ate yesterday was some sort of salsa - corn and black bean or pico de gallo. So good!
